‘In Ground’ Planters

5galplanter11.jpgYou can see here that my heirloom bell peppers that were planted in one gallon containers have clearly outgrown them. It’s actually quite amazing that they reached this current height of 2′ and were quite productive in such a small pot. A ‘Spring Tour’ of My Fruit Trees

Deterring those pesky climbing critters!

I happen to live where there are plenty of squirrels, opossums, and raccoons,  such that trying to grow fruit or nut trees becomes quite a challenge! For example, I tried to grow persimmons but before they could even begin to ripen the raccoons climbed the young trees and literally many of the limbs in search for food.
